The short version: we collect what a booking needs, and we give it to the shop you booked. We do not sell anything to anyone.

Who is responsible

barburs is the data controller for the information described here. Write to hello@barburs.com about anything on this page.

What we collect

  • To make a booking: your name and a phone number or email address. Without them the shop cannot confirm or reach you.
  • If you sign in: your email address, or the name and email your Google or Apple account gives us. We never see your password for either of those.
  • If you are a barber or a shop: what you put on your page — your roster, your prices, your hours and your clips.
  • Roughly where you are, only if you tap the control that asks, and only to sort the directory by distance. It is not stored.
  • Ordinary request logs kept by our host for security and to keep the service running.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build a profile of you for advertisers.

Who it goes to

  • The shop you booked gets your name, your contact number and what you booked. It needs them to cut your hair.
  • Stripe processes payments. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach us.
  • Cloudflare hosts the service and stores its data.
  • Resend sends our email, including sign-in codes.

That is the whole list. We do not sell or rent personal data.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept while your account is open, and then for six years, which is how long UK tax rules require records of a transaction to be kept. Delete your account and everything not covered by that goes with it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@barburs.com and we will answer within a month. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

barburs is for adults. A child’s cut is booked by their parent or guardian, under that adult’s own account.

barburs Watch the cut, then book the chair that did it.
